Notarized Authorization and Release (A&R) Information

A notarized A&R provides character and fitness analysts with the needed authority to perform a full background check on bar applicants. ALL applicants need to submit this document directly after completing the online application. The A&R is displayed to all applicants during the online filing process. It contains bar coded information which is unique to each applicant. A sample A&R is below:

If you have lost the A&R, you should try one of the following:

(1) Log back into your online application and reprint the A&R. Depending on the status of your application, you will see the availability to print as depicted in one of the two screenshots below:
