Bar Exam Fees and Deadlines

There Are No Refunds or Transfers of Applications and/or fees.

Payment may either be by credit card at the time of the initial online filing, or by a certified check, cashier's check, corporate check or money order payable to the "Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners" in the appropriate amount by the applicable deadline(s). Personal checks will not be accepted, nor will any application be accepted until all fees are paid. Refer to the specific Pennsylvania Bar Admission Rule (Pa.B.A.R.) to determine which rule you qualify under and, the appropriate application and fee(s) that you must submit. Fees payable to the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners may be combined and submitted during online filing for credit card payment or subsequently in one check. There are no refunds or transfers of applications and/or fees.

FINAL FILING DEADLINE: Application payments that are submitted by the United States Postal Service (USPS) or overnight courier (e.g., Federal Express, UPS, etc.) must be POSTMARKED by the final filing deadline as indicated above; otherwise, you will not be permitted to sit for the bar examination.

The Board will open a separate registration solely for applicants who are unsuccessful on the October 2020 remote bar examination and wish to apply for the February 2021 remote examination. These applicants will have one deadline with the timely filing fee listed above.

An applicant who sat for the October administration and intends to request testing accommodations (NTA) for the February examination that are different from those approved for the October examination must have their
NTA request form and supporting documentation to the office for review by December 28, 2020.
